Valentine’s Day is less than a month away already! Oh, how fast time flies.
Valentine’s Day is a time for love struck couples. While many will be happy spending time together enjoying the usual Valentine’s Day date night, some brave men are looking forward to making this day a tad more special by asking their significant others for their hand in marriage! This is the most romantic time of the year and many women will be looking for that perfect gift — the gift of a lifelong commitment. This is one of the biggest and most important question anyone will ever ask, and of course we all want this to be very special and memorable. But it can be difficult planning for an awesome proposal so here are some creative and romantic ways that you can pop the question!
1. Pop the question at the place you met
If you have a great story of how the two of you met then why not return to the same place for your proposal? Any woman will appreciate the fact that you remembered where you met and it will bring back fond and sentimental memories for both of you.
2. Propose while you’re above sea level
Going on a vacation for Valentine’s Day? Propose while riding the plane! Ask to make an announcement over the loudspeaker and then use the rest of the vacation to celebrate your new engagement!
3. Ask her with candy
Buy a heart shaped box of candy (I’m pretty sure there will be a lot of this during Valentine’s Day!) and replace one with your engagement ring. Just make sure to plan ahead the place and time she should open the box of candy and get ready to drop on one knee and pop the question!
4. Propose on a romantic walk
Take your lady out for a walk during a beautiful sunset and talk to her about why you are in love and why your relationship is so special. Then, pause in a beautiful spot and take some time to bask and drink in the scenery, then say something like “I wanted to bring you to a spot almost as beautiful as you are to ask you to spend the rest of your life with me. Will you marry me?”
The Half Moon Bay state beach is the perfect place to do something like this. Walk to the east where the Santa Cruz Mountains frame a dramatic backdrop.
5. Propose at a restaurant
Proposing at a restaurant means that there will be a lot of people to help you out make your proposal perfect. If a restaurant is in your proposal plan, make sure to choose a romantic restaurant. Secure your reservations early and talk to a staff or personnel about your proposal plans. They’ll be experts on the nicest and easiest way to do it at their particular location – whether it’s writing Marry Me on the dessert plate rim, or going for a walk nearby to propose before returning for champagne and dessert. Just avoid hiding the ring in your food, you wouldn’t want it to get swallowed.
6. Do it at the comforts of your home
The last but most popular location for proposing is, of course, at home. A simple and romantic proposal involves just you, some candles, and your living room. Invite your girlfriend over for a romantic dinner and spell out the words “Will Your Marry Me?” in votive candles across the room.
